Walkaholic

one of the words that describe me the most. To a certain extent I think that, I have been walking too much. :P Some even gives me nickname as I have been walking too fast... =='''

Hey, but walking is a good form of exercising. :D
According to Health Promotion Board of Singapore, by making frequent walks,
it can help you to lower your blood pressure and blood cholesterol.
It can also burn calories and manage your weight, while relieving yourself
from stress and anxiety.

Most importantly.... its free.
Probably because of the amount of issues that the local transportation have,
or probably because I am not financially rich, I will try to do some walking
whenever I'm free. I remember the days whenever I have insufficient amount in
the transportation fare card, I will do crazy walks like from Dover MRT all
the way to Tiong Bahru MRT. Or probably interesting routes like from the
old site where Republic Polytechnic was to Bugis MRT station or late night
trails stating from Somerset MRT to Tiong Bahru MRT. The sights that
you are getting from these walking trails never fail to amaze me. :D

So what are you waiting for, Let's do some walking now. :D

A not so circular Circle Line

Close to 2 - 3 weeks ago, a festival was held at Holland Village MRT station with the grand opening of the Circle Line.

Image taken from the SMRT Website.

But what is so special about this Circle Line?
Rather then discussing how convenient the Circle Line is, I am going to talk about something else.

As most of the train stations belonging to the Circle Line were underground stations, it isn't a difficult task keeping a look out for a long flight of stairs to climb. Although I don't think that the flight of stairs were long enough, but making an effort climbing up and down the stairs can be a good form of exercising also.

A paradise for Geeks?

Sim Lim Square would probably be the best place to source for all the computer parts and accessories that a Geek would need. Besides for all the computer related products, they also have 3 levels of shops selling all sorts of electronic products ranging from tv to music/video players to cameras, you can find all these electronics products in one building. Isn't that convenient?

Pictures of Sim Lim Square.

Some info:
  • Try to ask around for the price of the same product first before making an purchase
  • Try not to go there as an individual (Chances that you get con can be pretty high, unless you know the shop owners pretty well)
  • Sometimes, Cash payment can help you to get more discounts

An exercise for everyone :D

Although most of the time I prefer to cycle or walk around the streets, it doesn't mean that I would't try types of exercise. :D Ever since they added a new Safra centre in my area, I would spend a bit of time walking to that place and chill out on a weekend afternoon.

Safra Mount Faber, but what are the things that you can do at Safra Mount Faber?

As I wasn't a good swimmer, I would go for a few rounds of bowling whenever I was free.

I must admit that I wasn't a Pro but I do enjoy Bowling. :D Similarly, its a sport that both the old and the young could enjoy playing. :D Based on my past experience, playing bowling at Safra Mount Faber can be quite stressful sometimes, especially when you are playing next to a group of bowlers that keeps on getting a 'Strike' or a 'Spare'. And their average age was above 60s or 70s. Whahahahaha.... :P Either ways, its still a pretty good way of exercising and killing off your boredom. :D

Some extra information about Safra Mount Faber:
  • You can customise your own bowling ball over here
  • You can also rent a locker to keep you stuff at the Super Bowl also
