R u ready for the Mid Autumn festival?

R u ready for the Mid Autumn festival (also known as moon cake festival) that is coming in 2 weeks time? Have you bought yourself a delicious box of moon cake? If you haven't, you probably want to get some help in getting a box of moon cake. And I just happen to know a place where you can try moon cakes made by more than 40 over moon cakes makers. And at the same time buy yourself a delicious box of moon cake and prepare yourself for the Mid Autumn festival. :)

This would be my recommendation.
You probably might want to visit the Mid Autumn festival fair that was
organised by Takashimaya shopping centre annually and give it a try. :)

Whao look at the crowd.
You probably want to go there earlier to avoid the crowd.
And if you are lucky or early enough, you might probably get to try and
buy all the yummy moon cakes before they were sold out for the day.

Besides selling moon cakes, some of the stores are selling tea leaves,
snacks, lanterns... etc. As long as it is something that can remind you
of Mid Autumn festival, you probably can get them here at the fair. :D

This is the floor plan for the Moon cake festival fair located at Takashimaya Basement 2.
Look, you probably can find all the famous brands of moon cakes under one roof, isn't it convenient? :D

Movie: Overheard 2 (窃听风云2)

This is my first Hong Kong movie after watching a series of movies produced in the America movie industry. I like the plot of the second movie especially how 'Daniel Woo' had sorted/planned out everything beforehand. But one would be disappointed with this movie as this movie wasn't as good as the first one, but one couldn't disagree with the fact that this was probably one of the better movies that Hong Kong had produce over the past few years. My question, is it really that difficult to produce a second movie to a movie sequel that can be as good as the first one?

Movie: Time to watch some comedies from the British Market.

Looking at Orchard Road from a different angle

When people started talking about 'Orchard Road', they will most likely be linking it with words like fashion, expensive and branded stuff. As for myself, the most common activity that I had been doing along 'Orchard Road' besides walking would be the...

luxury of having a Ice Cream bread that only cost S$1 each.
Why this was one of my luxury in life was basically because of the hot weather that Singapore had been having over the past few years. Imagine who much goodness a simple and cheap Ice cream could bring you while walking along the streets of Orchard Road.

This was how one of the Ice Cream selling trolley along Orchard Road looks like.

Besides having Ice Cream along the streets of Orchard Road, another interesting
point of Orchard Road would be the various kind of artistic performance along the streets of Orchard Road. If you happen to be walking along the streets of Orchard Road during the weekends, you will be able to see different groups of people playing different kinds of musical instruments. If you are lucky enough, there will be chances of you witnessing a living statue.

Movie: Cowboys & Aliens

This is one of those movies, where you will find the main female actress pretty unimportant. Despite having a pretty straight forward storyline, there are parts of this movie where I find it pretty nice also. The way they try to remake the wild wild west era and probably the way the movie makers try to mix cowboys and aliens together into a movie.

Movie: Bad Teacher and Horrible Bosses

Due to the rain this weekend, there's a change to plans. I ended up watching another comedy movie. That's right, I had already spent my weekend watching 2 comedy movies and doing some other stuff. The following would be my personal comments about the 2 comedy shows. :D

Rather than classifying this movie as a comedy, I would rather classify it as a movie about our everyday Life. This movie has taught me how to deal with the possiblities that might be happening around my life. It's pretty interesting in another way but please do not treat it as a comedy or you will be pretty disappointed. :D

In comparison, this movie was a much better than 'Bad Teacher' as a Comedy Movie. It's pretty funny and probably throughout 80 - 90% of the movie was hilarious. I would definitely recommend this movie if you want to have a laugh.

Movie: Up next what happens when you combine 'Aliens' and the 'Wild West' together?

Movie: Probably, this is the last piece of the puzzle titled 'The Avenger'

I had went to the Cinema to watch the 'Captain America: The first Avenger' movie. This is probably the last movie of the year 2011 with a storyline based on one of the super heroes of 'Marvel' comics. As usual, please sit through all the credits of the movie to watch the extra footages and you might be getting something more as compared to the other movies based on 'Marvel' heroes. (For example: Thor, Ironman, The Incredible Hulk).

Note: I hope they will produce more Comedy movies with 'Tommy Lee Jones'. I think he have a talent for Comedy movies. Especially when he always have the serious look on his face.

If I can regenerate like "Wolverine" of the 'X-men' or "Sylar" of 'Heroes'...

If one could regenerate at a rapid speed like "Wolverine" of the 'X-men'* comic books or "Sylar" of the TV series 'Heroes'^, what would be the most meaningful thing that you could do?

If I were given such a gift, the first thing that I would be doing would be...

making regular visits to the Bloodbank to donate my blood away.

Here's the mascot of Bloodbank@HSA and isn't it cute... :P

Oh gosh, look at the crowd here. Although I don't like crowded places,
but isn't it nice to see such a big crowd of people here at the BloodBank
willing to give their blood for the greater good. :)

This is the last counter before I step into the room and donate my blood.
Luckily, I have made an appointment online**, hence I was placed in a priority queue.
I have tried walking-in to the Bloodbank@HSA before and the waiting time can be as bad as 30 minutes. Hence, I have decided to make an appointment this time round and the results were satisfying.

Though I am not a frequent visitor here, but based on my own experiences, I find that the pain that you are getting from a normal insect bite were not as painful as the pain that you are getting throughout the process of donating your blood. It's probably the sight of the needles that might be giving you a greater sense of fear.
(Yesterday, I just found out that an individual will donate 450ml of blood per visit.)

After donating your blood away, here comes the nicest part, which is...
Lunch provided for free after each donation that an individual have made. You get to choose a main dish, a drink and a dessert. I didn't take a photo of the dessert because it's Green Bean soup and I would prefer eating Red Bean Soup on top of Green Bean Soup.

Well, in conclusion, isn't it nice to do a good deed by donating your blood away and treat yourself to a free meal. ;P
(As for myself, as I am a very clumsy person, I would get myself cut very easily and rather than wasting all those blood away, I would rather donating them away.)
